To help make our school a distraction-free space and improve teaching and learning, Bohemia Manor Middle School will implement a program called Yondr at the start of the New Year (Monday, January 6, 2025).  Schools that have used the Yondr Program for securing cell phones have made improvements in student engagement, a positive change in student behavior, a positive change in academic performance, and a positive impact in student safety and social wellness.  The Yondr Program utilizes a simple, secure pouch for storing a phone. When students return to school from the Winter Break, any student that chooses to bring a phone to school will be required to secure their phone in a Yondr pouch when they enter the school each day.  Students will maintain possession of the Yondr pouch throughout the school day and as they exit the building at dismissal, pouches will be opened and students will have access to their phones.
